You have an decided to move! The reasons for selling vary, are you getting ready for your next transition in life, have you have run out of space or are you are needing to down size? Find the right brokerage firm and Realtor!

You have questions; what do you need to get your home ready for a sale? Many sellers try to anticipate all the decisions necessary to sell a home but end up uncertain about some of the basics and just need some strong sound advice.

There are some issues that you need to consider when you are move forward in the direction of selling:

  • Home needs to present itself well, de-cluttered and clean are the operative words!
  • Presentation from the outside to the inside, curb appeal gets buyers in the door.
  • Know your bottom line! What is your payoff? Do you have a pre-payment penalty?
  • What services do you need from you Realtor? What do you think it will take to sell you home? Consider why you purchased the home. What will appeal to buyers?
  • Catch up on all the maintenance of the home, service the furnace, change the filter touch up paint. Take care of all those nagging little things so that the buyer isn't immediately thinking of the work they will have to do after moving in!
  • What is your financial goal in moving? Right now, what you may have to give up in the sale you can make up on the buying side.
